Welcome to the Freehold Shooting Stars Website

Charter

· To provide a fun, instructive and positive environment where children can learn sportsmanship and the fundamentals of soccer.

· To give the children an opportunity to develop as players, build self confidence, encourage camaraderie, and promote sportsmanship.

· To prepare the players for competition in the scholastic sports environment.

Soccer Program

· Players currently in Grade 9-10 [U15]

· Year-round commitment to high-level indoor and outdoor training and challenging games

· Professional training

· Developing from state and regional tournaments to national and international tournaments and playing opportunities

Program Structure

· Governed by Freehold Soccer Club - all volunteer

· Girls soccer team consisting of as few as 14 players and as many as 18

· Volunteer Head Coach, Assistant Coaches and Team Assistants

Program Situation

· Majority of income is from team families.

· Fees cover basic program - league registration fees only

· players travel, accommodations, general travel expenses

· No child excluded from participating due to the inability to pay the required fee.

Program Needs

· Team uniforms, equipment, training, indoor training facility fees, travel expenses, tournament fees

Other

· Freehold Soccer Club is a non-profit organization.

ARTICLE ONE
ORDER OF BUSINESS

The following shall be the order of business at the meeting of the Freehold Shooting Stars Team.

ARTICLE TWO


Rules of Order:

The following Rules of Order will be applied to the Association of Freehold Shooting Stars upon meetings of our Team.




1. No motion will be stated unless moved and seconded, nor will it be open for
Consideration unless stated by the President.
2. After the President has stated a motion, it will be in the possession of the League,
But if there are no objections, it may be withdrawn at any time before a decision or
Amendment.
3. When a question is before the meeting, no motion will be in order except:
a. To be put to a vote
b. To amend the motion
4. A motion to declare a vote null and void, because of an error, will be in order if
Submitted immediately after taking the vote
5. An amendment may be only amended once.
6. All motions unless fixed by law, will be decided by a majority vote.
7. All resolutions shall be recorded in the minutes
8. No motion to adjourn will be in order, until the regular business of the meeting has
Been completed
9. It will take a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the association to add, amend, suspend or
Repeal any of these rules.
10. No report from a Special Committee will be accepted unless in writing.
11. All Questions of order not provided for by these rules will be governed by the
Usual preliminary rules as set forth in Robert?s Rules of Order.

MEMBERSHIP

Sec.1 GENERAL MEMBERSHIP. Freehold Shooting Stars composed of Travel Team Players, their coaches, parents & team volunteers.
Sec.2 VOTING MEMBERSHIP. A Coach or players parent may cast only one vote on all matters presented for a vote to the membership.
If a coach or member is suspended or expelled, it will not affect the voting rights of our team.
Sec.3 All members shall be entitled to attend all meetings & participate in general team activities.
Sec.4 Freehold Shooting Stars Try-outs take place in the month of May of every year. New players are added. Old players leave and are replaced. Only parent current team roster members can vote.
Sec. 5 All Team Property shall be returned to the Team upon resignation or dismissal.

DISSOLUTION OF THE FREEHOLD SHOOTING STARS

Upon the dissolution of this Association, assets shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code, or shall be distributed to the federal government, or to a state or local government, for a public purpose. Unless otherwise changed or modified, upon dissolution of the Association, assets shall be distributed to the Freehold Soccer League (FSA), a qualifying exempt organization within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. If the FSA is no longer in existence, the assets of the Association shall be distributed to the student fund of the Freehold Township Middle School, a qualifying exempt organization within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code, for the purposes of enhancing their soccer program. As set forth above, both of these organizations operate for exempt purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. Any such assets not so disposed of shall be distributed to the federal government, or to a state or local government, for a public purpose.
